This case study documents the Cash and Voucher Preparedness (CVAP) journey of the Red Crescent Society of Kyrgyzstan (RCSK). RCSK first piloted the use of CVA in 2012 in response to an earthquake in Batken province. By the end of 2025 RCSK has included CVA in 78 programmes including responses to natural and man-made disasters, population movement, the covid pandemic, measles outbreaks, health sector responses for TB patients and seasonal assistance for socio-economically vulnerable people.
