This report presents a case study of the Baphalali Eswatini Red Cross Society’s rapid cash‑based emergency response to the November and December 2025 hailstorms in Eswatini. It outlines how prepositioned CVA funds enabled fast, dignified support to an estimated 1,022 affected households, describes the implementation process and outcomes, and highlights key lessons and recommendations for strengthening future cash responses and the powers of prepositioning.
