Training opportunity: CVA and PGI Mainstreaming and Prevention, Mitigation and Response of SGBV in CVA programmes
Recognizing ongoing capacity gaps in CVA/PGI and as part of building the capacity of NSs, Finnish Red Cross staff and IFRC staff to implement quality CVA, the IFRC Africa regional PGI Coordinator, IFRC regional CVA team and the Finnish Red Cross PGI Advisor for Africa have identified the need for capacity-building in integrating PGI mainstreamed in all CVA interventions as well as preventing, mitigating, and responding to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) in CVA programming. This collaboration with the Finnish Red Cross will serve as the first cohort and using the materials developed for this training, other cohorts of this training will be conducted.
