Cash and Logistics Learning Resources

Building the CVA knowledge and skills of logisticians is an important part of ensuring cash-readiness.  The Movement Logistics Cash and Markets Competency Framework, is a key overview document outlining the required CVA competencies by tier or level.
If you would like to assess your own cash-readiness, you can use a self-evaluation form (available in English or French). Results can be used to identify gaps and prioritise what, when and where training should be run as well as to guide your own professional development. We recommend retaking the self-assessment if you complete a training or mission related to CVA as your knowledge and skills will have developed.  Please send any completed forms to Niccolo for analysis and inclusion on our database, or contact us if you work or volunteer with a NS and would like a copy of the analysis tool:

  • Niccolo Giancarli ICRC Global Logistics Cash and Markets Specialist (ngiancarli@icrc.org).

We have developed a CVA learning path for logisticians detailing the trainings available and the recommended order in which to take them. All CVA courses can be found on the general CVA courses page
If you are an NS who would like to run the training directly, please contact Niccolo to get access to the training material.

Movement Logistics Cash and Markets Competency Framework

Type:

Learning

Organisation:

RCRCM

This is an informal working document consolidating the Competancy Frameworks of the ICRC and IFRC into one version. This framework enables us to refer to the same set of competancies at the Movement level, to facilitate the standardisation of logistics and procurement support for distribution and scale-up of CVA, and to identify and build the skills required to be cash-ready.
